Oxidative Stress: new research suggests it may be key in ME/CFS & Long COVID. Can nutrition help?
Could oxidative stress be an underpinning mechanism in ME/CFS and Long Covid. Research published last year found evidence of increased oxidative stress in immune cells of people with both ME/CFS and Long COVID and researchers suggest oxidative stress may be a possible cause of these conditions. We describe the implications of this research and also show how diet, particularly a Mediterranean diet, may reduce the impact of oxidative stress.

Three key nutrients for energy production
Mitochondria—the energy factories inside our cells—play a crucial role in physical and mental stamina. For people living with conditions like ME/CFS or Long Covid, where energy production is impaired, supporting mitochondrial function can be key to symptom management.
Here we describe three important nutrients that can support mitochondrial health and potentially help with fatigue: Carnitine, Iron, and CoQ10.
